London Chinese New Year

This was waaaaaaay before the freak snow storm......

We had a cold and quiet Chinese New Year in London. For CNY eve dinner, we had English Gastro Pub food, aips had bangers & mash while i had pork burger... with beer. What a CNY eve dinner eh....

But after that, we just had to have the CNY spirit, martin put on some Chinese radio station from Hong Kong and we played cards. Chor tai ti!! then we played poker....with Monopoly money. Not as fun as playing with chips and i jokingly said that I'd buy poker chips the next day.

Next morning, Martin went jogging.... and guess what he brought back....

POKER CHIPS!!!

£20 for nice clay chips in an aluminium case...VALUE!!

he also managed to bring home some sacred coffee....all this after a jog

blue skies for CNY

We had CNY lunch with the dim sum Martin brought back from Royal China....supposedly the best place for Dim Sum in London

At least our 1st CNY away from home was kinda a bit more memorable, still got gambling....and got Chinese food.

And this is how Chinatown looks like as it gets ready to spread the CNY mood here in London...
